Passero in Arlington Heights

SO I have been numerous times to both the original location and now the newly opened, larger store. While I LOVE their Weekend Brunch and Dinner Menu, something falls off at lunch (during the week). Brunch is amazing with the high quality bacon and incredible egg options, and dinner the homemade fresh pasta is out of this world! But the lunch choices during the week fall a little short (tried it several times - maybe I'm just ordering the wrong thing?). The new spot is beautiful finished and I do enjoy the decor, they have a decent wine list too. I suggest you visit for the weekend brunch and stick with their fresh pasta for dinner.

The buffalo cucumbers & avocado toast were great.

We have had really good carbonara in Italy and it’s very rare to find a place in the US that can deliver the right balance texture and taste. The garlic bread was fresh and the drinks were really good with quirky names to go with it. Overall an excellent experience.

We did carry out and everything was delicious! Definitely will order again-especially the crispy, cheesy, garlic pull apart loaf with the Burnett’s heirloom watermelon tomato salad appetizer!

The food at Passero is always changing with seasonally-available, locally-sourced ingredients. I went to culinary school for awhile and their execution of every meal is technical perfection with rustic flavors. I've also been wowed by how the restaurant has handled the ever-changing COVID conditions and prioritize the health and safety of not only their patrons, but also their staff. So much integrity.

The homemade pasta was amazing! Several delicious desserts and gelato too!

This is a nice addition to Arlington heights. I had the garlic cheese loaf to start which was to die for. Then I had the spaghetti carbonara. It was way too spicy. I had 3 bites and ordered milk to slow the burn. After 5 bites is abandoned. I wish I had been warned how spicy it was going to be.

This spot is the one I always prefer. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again. The crew is very professional and the cuisine they serve is so tasty. I am always happy to have a good meal here. Highly recommended.

I used to love this place and food. Since they moved their location and changed few recipes like gnocchi and peanut butter pie did not taste the same. Pappardelle hasn’t changed. Still a great dish. It’s a mediocre place for me now.

I frequently order from here. Food is great, especially the meatballs and the pizza! Wonderful customer service and the ambiance at the new location is great, earthy and rustic.

No growing pains going to their new, bigger location. Food is still amazing, service top notch, and Consuelo at the bar is the best! We will be back!

The overall experience was just okay. I think I expected more from this place. The food was okay, nothing special, sort of cold and salty. I wanted to check the new place they moved to and I don’t think I will be coming back there. Sorry but I wasn’t impressed at all.

Great restaurant. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection, octopus, brussel sprouts, pasta, cheesy garlic bread. Our server Kelly W was fast and courteous which added to the experience.

Love this place! Calamari, Brussel sprouts, burger, shrimp salad, the pre-covid avocado toast with everything bagel seasoning was top notch, brunch, love music, great ambiance, awesome place.

They were so generous to feed our Emergency Department staff for free during this unfortunate time. The food is excellent! Thank you so much!

Never been disappointed! Everything from the ragu to carbonara and antipasti has been excellent.Recommend the carbonara minus the squash but that is a personal preference. Ask for Kelly at the bar. She is amazing and creates drinks just how you would want it , even if you don't know it!

Food and service was excellent. Our server Consuelo was amazing. Since this was our first time there, her suggestions for appitizers, main dish, and wines was spot on! Everything we had was great. She was cheerful and energetic and made our anniversary dinner a very fun night. We can't wait to go back and try different things on the menu!

Top 3 in Chicagoland area for authentic pizza-rustica style pies. Love what they do with arugula... salads, entrees, pie’s.... and don’t forget the gelato - magnafi!!!!!

Excellent dining experience, friendly, efficient service from Lauren. Great pizza, heavenly tempura battered cauliflower and hearty, yummy cheese soup made a perfect meal. Worth a drive to Arlington Heights.

They surprised the staff at NCH ER lunch on 3/19/20, with delicious generous portions of pasta with shrimp, chicken tenders, French fries, Antipasta, Brussels sprouts with bacon (yum). Topped it off with their warm homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert❤️. Thank you for making our tummies happy😉 during this unpredictable season. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We really enjoyed our meal here recently. I had a pasta dish with slow cooked short rib and sausage and my wife went on the lighter side with a chooped salad. Great appetizers, fresh tasting food and my wife could cut the chicken in her salad with her fork because it was so tender. Nice desserts, solid wine menu and friendly, attentive service. Will be back for sure. Make a reservation because you will wait a while without one.

From the moment you come to this restaurant the personel give you a great feeling. Very courteous stuff, it is a happy restaurant to pass time with your friends or with your date. tasty meals, creative chef, comfortable cost and professional service. Highly recommended.

2nd time there. pizza was over cooked crust like cardboard. server was inattentive, asked for condiments for pizza never came back with them. appetizer and desert were very good. extremely over priced for the quality. many of the outdoor tables don't have umbrellas, it started raining during dinner. 4 tables shared two large umbrellas the remaining 8-10 got rained on. servers were running around offering to bring the check and box up the meals just after they were served due to the rain. whole dining experience was a bummer.

Delicious homemade pasta and the halibut was amazing. Started with the meatballs and some tasty drinks. Service was spectacular; felt like we were in the city. Can't wait to go back!

Seasonal drink menu is quality. Keeps fresh ideas coming. The cheesy garlic pull-apart bread loaf is delicious alongside a chopped salad. Reservations are a must for the dinner hour.

I wanted to love this place. I really did. But they just dont have their act together. At all. For those of you that enjoy it I hope you continue to. If you're hungry, don't go here. It takes a long time to get your food and an equally long time for drink refills. The bread (cheesey garlic) was a good but it took a while and a lot of the cheese wasn't melted all the way. I could go on but why. Maybe it was better in the smaller venue🤷‍♀️

I had a cocktail (a signature old-fashioned) that was too sweet. The food was awesome. I had walleye... ate...it...all! Loudest restaurant I've ever visited. I really don't like that.

We love Passero. The only problem I have ever had there is trying to get a table. It is small and you have to make reservations a week in advance. I just found out they are moving to a bigger location so that should make everything better. They have great wine to chose from and a great rice ball appetizer. The portions are very big so come hungry. The service is always great too.
